Merger
Gall Robertson CA  merged with Dobson & Company on 10th July. The enlarged practice is operating as Gall Robertson CA (incorporating Dobson & Company) and is based in our present offices at Tweedbank.
The practice has two partners (Jim Dobson and Sheila Robertson) and six professional and administrative staff. Jim has run his own practice for the last seven years, previously being a senior partner with a local firm.

Finance Act 2006
The Finance Bill proposed at the spring budget received Royal Assent on 19th July 2006. For budget information refer to the client area  (restricted area).

June 2006
Duncan Elliot has joined our team. Duncan is an experienced accountant with a wealth of Sage software knowledge. He is the main office contact for Sage accounts queries.

Budget Proposals - VAT annual and cash accounting schemes
The proposed limit for these schemes is to increase to £1,350,000. If you are on invoice basis due to turnover in excess of £660,000 but less than the proposed limit then it may be prudent to change, in particular if it is likely to have a positive effect on your cashflow.
